The short answer
For a sign-up, a trial or a one-time code you do not want attached to your real inbox, create an address inside Kryptis. It receives mail for 24 hours, shows any verification code for a tap-to-copy, and disappears. Save a message to keep it, encrypted in the vault.
The three options
Hide My Email. Built into iCloud+. It creates a random address that forwards to your real inbox. Convenient, permanent until you delete it, and tied to your Apple Account, which is the opposite of anonymous.
Temporary email websites. Public inboxes with a random address. Anyone who guesses the address can read the mail, nothing is encrypted, and the site sees everything.
Kryptis Burner Email. Addresses created inside the vault, up to five at a time, each alive for 24 hours. Receive only. Codes are extracted and shown. Remote images stay hidden until you load them, so a sender cannot tell when you opened a message. Saved messages are encrypted in the vault and included in encrypted backups.
How to create one in Kryptis
- Open Burner Email in the vault.
- Tap the plus to create an address. Copy it.
- Use it for the sign-up. The message appears in the inbox; any code is shown for copying.
- Save what you need with Save to Kryptis. The rest is gone after 24 hours.
What is not linked to you
Kryptis talks to the inbox service with a random token created on the phone and kept in the Keychain. It is not your Apple Account, not a purchase identifier, not a device advertising ID, and it is erased by Self-Destruct Mode. Burner Email is a Premium feature.
What it is not for
Conversations. You cannot send or reply. It is for the addresses you never want to hear from again.
